Most of the readers won’t care about this, unless they’re from Washington state, Idaho, Alberta or British Columbia, but might as well post this:

I got an invite to the B.C.R.C. [British Columbia Reptile Club] annual expo for June 11-12.  However, I won’t be attending this year. Got bills to pay and such. Plus I forgot to volunteer for this year (again!) Last year, the expo was a blast, most of the people were friendly and many loved talking about their own collections. Hope it stays that way this year.

B.C. Reptile Club Show & Sale June 11, 2011 10am - 5pm June 12, 2011 10am - 4pm Abbotsford Exhibition Park 32470 Haida Drive, Cadet building

List of vendors can be found here, and any inquiries can be made here. More can be found about the hosted raffle here. Coloured flyers can be downloaded here, black-and-white copies here, and business cards can be found here for printing. Enjoy the show!

To be honest, I still miss my Coastal Carpet Python and Colombian Tegu. However most of the appreciation I had for them was the ability to share them with the general public and educate them, so they’re not the right type of animals for me to possess. I still dream of having a converted shower stall as a vivarium for tree monitors though. Never going to happen.

However if it wasn’t for the 2010 Reptile Show, I would had never met Riley’s uncle, Thor, or his breeder at the dog show hosted in the Tradex Centre in Abbotsford on the same day of last year. I would had never known Norrbottenspitzes or Finnish Spitzes were, which inevitably led to uncovering what the mystery dogs were in “Dingoes of the North” blogpost. So, I still feel like I owe the show organizers an indirect favour. Karma, you know. So here to pimping B.C.R.C. out.
